The Texas Underground Band News

Hey everybody!!! Just a little update on the band and our success.  Funny thing about success, a lot of
people don’t like to see you have any, but we want to give a great hearty THANK YOU to our friends that
have gone out of their way to support The Texas Underground Band, and who believe in us and our music.
We know who you are, we love you, and we will remember.

We also want to give a special thanks to our dear friends at THE RANCH 106.9, especially KC and THE
MORNING FIASCO.  YOU ARE TRUE TEXAS RADIO!  We appreciate all you have done for us.

To us the music has always been  the main thang, and it entails a lot of hard work and time.  Despite what seemed like constant searching for new members that wanted to do what it takes to put on a first class show, Texas Underground has found its mark.  Mike Ray, from Waxahachie, has become the backbone of
the band with his stellar bass lines, and has put in a lot of mileage and hard work.  We have found that
Mike has a remarkable voice that crowds love, and we are adding more and more lead vocals for Mike.
Our latest addition is drummer Tommy Calvert, from Garland, who in two short months has boned up on
hours of music so we didn’t have to break stride allowing us to make great progress booking quality gigs
with a quality show.

In the last two weeks we have ROCKED the Boxcar in Cedar Hill, and shocked the Saturday night crowd at Gators Sports Bar and Grill in Gun Barrel City.  This is just the beginning.  Be on the lookout for more
excellent Texas country music shows from Texas Underground including repeat dates at both these fine musical venues.

Texas Underground is looking forward to two private shows already booked for the near future, and we
have already begun talks for the second annual Labor Day bird hunt bash with our friends the Davis’s.  We
do hire for weddings and parties, so call us for booking if you want to turn your event into an
Underground party.

Get on the Texas Underground freight train or get left behind.  You’ll be glad you did.

Chip, Paul, Mike, and Tommy
